This series of posters started at the beginning of 2010. as a self-initiated project. As a part of the minority of designers that are into Rockabilly, 50s R´n´R, Rhythm and Blues etc I wanted to contribute something to the scene. The result is this series of posters. Unlike other Rockabilly posters that often consist of hot rod and pin-up photos, fonts from Dafont and fire Photoshop brushes, I wanted to reflect the authentic design of that decades (50s, 60s) with role models such as Aleksandar Srnec, Lucienne Day or Charles Harper. All the type was also designed by me. This is just a part of the series.
This a loosely constructed display font. More about his purpose, coming soon!
Concept for the redesign of Metamorphoses by Ovid
This classic of antique literature is one of the biggest sources of myths in today´s world. Everybody comes across this book at least once in their education. Almost all of the designs make this book unpleasant for reading; common usage of small point sizes, gigantic footnotes that are listed a few pages away from the text that they are referring to etc. The idea was to break the book into booklets in which every one contains a story, further on all the important content is coded with pictograms so that the reader can contain all the important information without reading the text.
A couple of posters I did for local gigs, all the type was hand drawn.
This is an augmented reality app for iPhone dedicated to street art. The user can look or create his own art that is based on some real life backplane( a crack in the wall for example). The whole app is accompanied by a cockroach( cro.-žohar) that has the function of the menu. The art can only be seen through the iPhone. Here are a couple of screenshots.
Open your legs/ Openyourlegs festival-visual identity
Visual identity for Croatia´s first Psychobilly festival. The typeface, Timon, was designed by myself only for the festival usage. Trying to avoid the typical psychobilly poster look that consists of a photo or illustration of a zombie/pin-up/hot rod/monster etc and a badly used typefaces which were downloaded from the web for free, I created a pattern that consists of typical psychobilly motifs and made the type as clear as possible, but still with a horror feel to it.
